Robin Hoods Bay
Body fossil. Ammonite. This is one of the larger ammonites of the Lower Jurassic. The inner whorls are crushed and are not preserved. The outer body chamber is filled with mudstone and a few of the empty floatation chambers are visible, lined with calcite crystals. Redcar Mudstone Formation.
