Port Mulgrave
Trace fossil. Burrow. Named Halimedides but made by an unknown animal. A series of bulb-shaped chambers (possible algal “gardens”), linked by a tube – some preserving scratch or jaw marks. Discovered in 2024, possibly for the first time in Yorkshire. Fallen from Lower Jurassic cliffs, above the Jet Rock, near Port Mulgrove. Whitby Mudstone Formation.
