Summer Field Trips and Fossil Handling

Join us on our last RGG field trip of the summer to Port Mulgrave on Sunday 13th September 2026. We will be visiting exposures of the Mulgrave Shale Member and Jet Rock along the foreshore, looking to identify marker horizons and an extinction event, hunting for the recently discovered, trace fossil Halimedides and discussing the former ironstone mining industry and harbour.

Booking is essential, please email programme@scarboroughrgg.uk for more details.
